This blog is evolving. Or rather i keep changing my mind about what it should encompass. It doesn't really matter, because generally its still about Flower Couture, wedding flowers and crafts. Most of the time, its the creative personnel who's writing here, instead of the business development personnel, who's writing more at www.flowercouture.com

Blissful Outdoor Wedding Show (BOWS) 15-17 Oct 2010

This entry is "hot-off-the-press"!

We've had the wonderful privilege of working with Diary & Design Wedding (wedding planner) to decorate Four Seasons Catering's display booth at BOWS 2010 over this weekend.

The theme was Vintage Garden, an encore performance of Hellen's wedding, sticking to the same colours of tiffany blue, coral and cream. However, this time its all concentrated into a 10ft by 10ft booth.

Main Centrepiece
I love the vintage vase that goes so well with the old-school, traditional, big and full style arrangement.

Small Table Arrangement
This arrangement sits so well with the wooden sign which i painted myself. Customised signages anyone?

Small Table Arrangement
The vintage vase is perched on top of a floral fabric covered box, which i made.
I love this fabric design...its totally Laura Ashley.

Loose flower arrangements can be just as beautiful in a casual and unpretentious way.

Fresh Flower Ring Pillow embellished with Lace
The wedding bands sit in the middle of it, secured with the thin blue ribbons.

Buffet Line Centrepiece
Keeping to the coral and cream colours, with wild flowers for a rustic look.
The glass vessel is also wrapped in lace - because details matter.

Dining Table Arrangements
Loose flowers in a variety of vintage glasses and bottles.
It may seem 'random' but it is not...every single vessel was thoughtfully selected and decorated to suit the theme.

Fabric Hearts
Had some left over country style fabric and sewed them into these little hearts.
One of my favourite past time...sewing hearts.

I just have to show off the "twin towers"
The two vintage bottles that i simply adore. Found them at Cash Convertor. "One man's trash is another man's treasure".
I also love the retro glass (reminds me of the70s) which was given a vintage twist with a string of pearls.

The Entire Booth
NB: Items on the display table were contributed by Flower Couture, Diary & Design Wedding & Four Season Catering.

Did we have fun? You bet!!
Once again, the fact that i derive so much joy out of this affirms that
I was born to be an event decorator. What joy!
